Champion Drive

The Seville Drive residential estate, in Champion Drive, aims to set a new standard in sustainable housing. Located close to the Champion Lakes Recreation Park, on the corner of Champion Drive and Lake Road, the project covers 53 hectares and will accommodate about 700 dwellings.

The overall design emphasises a lively, attractive and safe suburb offering a range of lot sizes. Tree-lined avenues circle rehabilitated wetland and bushland areas with houses sited to maximise solar efficiency and take advantages of prevailing breezes. The estate, owned by Landcorp, was the first in WA to require the installation of rainwater tanks as a condition of planning approval.

A structure plan and Development Contribution Scheme was agreed in 2006 to facilitate the redevelopment.
