Kelmscott

The western portion of Kelmscott was added to the Armadale redevelopment area in 2005 in an effort to revitalise the historic township and improve traffic and pedestrian links through the centre. This 13.7 hectare site, comprising public and privately owned land, is bounded by Albany Highway, the rail line north to Westfield Road, Davis Road and Railway Avenue and land west of Railway Avenue.

A concept plan and detailed design guidelines have been released and are under review. The Kelmscott rail station has also been upgraded and a new pedestrian plaza, linking the train station to Albany Highway, has been designed along with other significant road improvements.
