The State Government has called for interest in a number of significant construction contracts which will assist in the delivery of Perth Waterfront.
The Government has called for expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Managing Contractor to deliver the main works, including inlet construction and associated marine facilities. (Estimated value $200m). The EOI process has now closed and will be awarded in early 2012.
The first construction work is being delivered in three separate packages:
A small, specialised contract was advertised on 12 November 2011 for deconstruction of the Florence Hummerston Kiosk and the demolition of other structures on the Esplanade Reserve. Any works will be subject to all the appropriate approvals being received.
The State Government is progressing smaller contracts for construction materials with a long lead time including trees, waterlines and sheet piling.
