About Subiaco

Subiaco, also referred to as Subi Centro, is recognised internationally as one of Australia’s best urban renewal projects.

This exciting project builds on Subiaco’s rich history and cosmopolitan atmosphere, transforming former industrial land into a vibrant and sustainable mix of townhouses, apartments, parkland, commercial and retail space.

We are proud that the project has been recognised with a number of awards including:

• State and National Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Awards for Excellence in Urban Renewal
  National Energy Efficiency Award in the 2004 HIA GreenSmart Awards for the Subi Centro Sustainable Demonstration Home
• Commendation in the Accessible Communities Awards 2004
• Finalist, Urban Land Institute Awards for Excellence, Asia Pacific division

To date, 86% of the Subiaco Redevelopment Area is complete and returned to the City of Subiaco for ongoing management. Work on the remaining areas, including the Australian Fine China and the Centro North sites, continues.
