  • Midland

Railway Square Stage 1A works commenced in February 2014 and were completed in time for Anzac Day, 25 April 2014.

These works focused on improvements to the area around the Peace Memorial (off Yelverton Drive) and include:

  • Landscaping – new lawns, trees and planters
  • New seating and water fountains
  • New paving

The works will help create an attractive, landscaped public space within The Workshops precinct.

This is the first stage in the creation of Railway Square, which is envisaged to be a vibrant and dynamic public square in the heart of The Workshops development and be a major gathering and festival space for the region.

Subsequent stages of Railway Square will be aligned with development of the lots surrounding the Square.
