New Bill to create a Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority

Planning Minister Hon John Day MLA has introduced legislation into State Parliament this week that will see the creation of a new Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA).

The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Bill allows for the amalgamation of the existing Armadale, East Perth, Midland and Subiaco redevelopment authorities into one central authority.

Minister Day said the new MRA would also be responsible for the Perth Waterfront project.
