The first commercial buildings in Perth City Link have reached a ‘topping out’ milestone less than six months from completion.

Four office towers as part of the Kings Square precinct – which will house the offices of Shell Australia, HBF and John Holland – commenced construction in mid-2013, with three of the towers reaching their highest construction point in November.

Kings Square will provide over 60,000sqm A-grade commercial space and 2,800sqm of retail space in these four towers.

"The Kings Square development will provide high quality office space and amenities that support the State Government's vision for the precinct as a premier transit hub and recreational space," Planning Minister John Day said.

In addition to offices, the buildings will also house a childcare centre and 24-hour gym, as well as cafes, bars and restaurants. The precinct will also incorporate $1.8million of public art.

A fifth commercial tower and two residential buildings are also planned for Kings Square.
