Seniors Outdoor Fitness World Record Attempt

  • Elizabeth Quay

Perth charity People Who Care aim to beat the current record and show seniors how easy it is to engage with the community, stay fit and find support services in Perth.

Please pledge your gold coin/note donation or register on the day, from 8am.

The 30 minute outdoor exercise class will be run by professional trainers from Mind Over Matter Health and Fitness.

The class will be followed by exhibits and demonstrations or you can take the opportunity to wander around Elizabeth Quay, enjoy the view and have some lunch.

The current unofficial Guinness World Record was set on 20 June 2014 for the largest seniors outdoor exercise class where a total of 52 people turned up for the exercise class in Sydney’s northern beaches.

Prior to this attempt the only existing, similar world record for people aged over 70 years is the oldest dance troupe, The Hip Op-eration Crew from New Zealand, consisting of 23 active members aged 67 to 95 years old, with an average age of 79 years.

We hope to attract over 400 seniors to the event and encourage them to stay all day and share in the many wonderful activities planned around Elizabeth Quay.

This event is supported by MRA and organised by People Who Care Visit website
