Railway Square is set to become the vibrant heart of the new Workshops village.
In the near future, you’ll find a lively public space surrounded by cafes, shops, restaurants and bars. Landscaping works are currently underway on the central square, which is due to open by ANZAC Day 2017.
In the meantime, you can enjoy the landscaping, paving, seating and water fountains at Memorial Gardens, which has created a relaxing place to sit and admire the majestic Workshops buildings. The Peace Memorial, surrounded by a rose garden, commemorates the 95 railway workers who enlisted from The Workshops and died in World War I and World War II.
