April is Adopt a Greyhound month and the volunteers of Greyhound Adoptions WA will be bringing their gorgeous four-legged friends into the Perth Cultural Centre.

Anyone who has encountered a greyhound will know that they are gentle and affectionate dogs who want nothing more than a soft bed and a loving home.

Tragically the vast majority of racing greyhounds will never experience that loving home. Out of 20,000 greyhounds bred into racing each year, an estimated 18,000 healthy dogs will be killed as 'wastage' simply because they were not suitable to race or not fast enough.

Come along and meet some of these lovable pooches and get some information on adopting one for your family.

Adopting a Greyhound won’t change the world – but the world will change for that Greyhound.
