Join PICA for a special spooky opening night as they celebrate the opening of Dead Ringer.

Featuring work by Australian and international artists, Dead Ringer seeks to draw forth the doppelgangers, ghosts and bad copies that haunt us. The exhibition unites an original group of artists whose works negotiate the extremes of portraiture by reproducing reality through film, video, painting, photography, cast objects, and 3D virtual worlds.

The evening will feature live entertainment in the Perth Cultural Centre amphitheatre from internationally recognised turntable artist Lucas ‘Granpa’ Abela, DJ and Dead Ringer artist Kynan Tan and an outdoor bar. Tasty treats are not too far away with the TruckStop outdoor foodie market next to the WA Museum.

The exhibition will be opened by Dr. Christina Lee, Lecturer in Communication and Cultural Studies at Curtin University and a specialist in ghostly spaces.
