How does the Scarborough Development Contribution Plan work and will I have to pay?

The Scarborough Development Contribution Plan (DCP) aims to collect financial contributions from landowners who develop their land and benefit financially from government investment in the new infrastructure and amenities.

The contributions will be reinvested back into community infrastructure or local government activities.

You may be asked to contribute if you are a landowner involved in a significant redevelopment or subdivision. You won’t be asked to contribute if you’re involved in making minor residential changes, such as constructing a single dwelling or making changes to your existing property.

To learn more and see the proposed fee structure, please see our Scarborough Development Contribution Plan frequently asked questions.

A final plan is expected to be adopted later this year.
