What area does the DCP apply to?

The draft DCP covers the Scarborough Redevelopment Area. This area is approximately 100 hectares of land, stretching 1.6 kilometres along the Scarborough beachfront and east along Scarborough Beach Road.

This is a larger area than that covered under the City of Stirling’s DCP and reflects how much the new development is likely to increase the development potential in the area.

For example, the new Scarborough Redevelopment Scheme allows apartments to be developed in areas previously zoned R35 or below. This shows a significant boost to the development potential of sites like these.
