What has been completed so far?

Perth City Link is being delivered in stages, with the State Government already investing nearly $1billion in the delivery of the project.

You probably already know that about these major elements:

  • The new Perth Arena opened (after the old Perth Entertainment Centre was demolished by Seven Group Holdings).
  • The rail and bus works are now finished.

Many other stages have been completed too. The first four buildings are now complete within the Kings Square precinct. These were constructed by Leighton Properties, on behalf of landowner Seven Group Holdings. The buildings are now home to Shell, HBF, a child care facility, cafes, bars, restaurants and Wellington Gardens.

The first stage of Wellington Street upgrades have been completed between Milligan and King Streets. This has involved upgrading major service infrastructure and enhancing the streetscape.

Milligan Street precinct works are also now complete. These have extended Milligan Street to the north, creating development lots and more public space.

There is also a new east-west vehicle and pedestrian link open at Telethon Avenue.
