What will the money collected by the Scarborough Development Contribution Plan be used for?

This redevelopment will attract even more tourists, Perth locals, businesses and families to enjoy everything Scarborough has to offer.

DCP funds will be reinvested in the area to support future elements of the Scarborough Master Plan which are outside the current scope of the project. This could include streetscape upgrades and traffic solutions.

The DCP will also allow the City of Stirling to recoup some of their contribution to the project.

The State Government has committed $46million to the Scarborough Redevelopment Project. This will not be offset by the DCP.

The costs of extending The Esplanade are included in the draft DCP but we are currently evaluating the need for extensions and exploring other ways to resolve traffic and parking issues. If other options are found, the DCP will be revised to reflect this.

Money collected from the DCP will not be used towards maintenance or operating costs for Scarborough Beach.
