Who is building Perth City Link?

Perth City Link is a project managed by our team at the MRA, on behalf of the WA Government.

Different bodies are responsible for building different elements of the project:

  • We are responsible for building the public open spaces (including Yagan Square), the new connections, as well as the upgrades to Wellington Street and Roe Street (in partnership with the City of Perth).
  • The Public Transport Authority was responsible for delivering the rail and bus infrastructure works.
  • The Department of Housing and Works was responsible for delivering the Perth Arena.
  • There is one private landowner within the project area, Seven Group Holdings. It is responsible for the 2 hectare Kings Square precinct. Seven’s developer, Leighton Properties, has already delivered the first four commercial buildings within the precinct.

We will sell the remaining development lots to private developers.
