New Chevron tower at Elizabeth Quay

Chevron has been granted development approval for their Australian headquarters on Lot 7 at Elizabeth Quay, on the corner of The Esplanade and Barrack Street. 

The $360 million 30-storey multi-use tower incorporates more than 52,000 square metres of office floor space including lobby, exhibition spaces and conference facilities.

The lower levels include childcare and gymnasium space with retail tenancies and café/restaurants on the ground floor, to activate large areas of open plaza facing into Elizabeth Quay.

Planning Minister Rita Saffioti said the State Government welcomes the news that the Chevron development plans are gaining momentum.

“Chevron's new tower will be home to thousands of employees, benefiting small businesses throughout the city and offering lasting economic benefit to the State,” she said. 

In recommending the proposal for approval, the Central Perth Land Redevelopment Committee noted the unique architectural design and a mix of commercial, dining and entertainment, retail and community land uses that will complement Elizabeth Quay.

Current plans show the proposed construction is set to begin in 2020.
