The popular precinct took home multiple awards, including the John Septimus Roe Award in the category of 'Urban Design' and the 'Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture'.

At the recently held 2019 Architecture Awards, Yagan Square was honoured in four categories, including two major wins and two commendations. The precinct, designed by ASPECT studios, Lyons Architects and iredale pederson hook architects, was officially opened in March 2018 with the aim of connecting the Perth CBD and Northbridge.

WA chapter president Peter Hobbs said, “This year’s winning projects demonstrate the importance of quality architecture when it comes to creating and sustaining successful, vibrant communities not just today, but well into the future.”
