Pavement testing works on The Esplanade

  • Scarborough

Geotechnical investigations (pavement testing) will be undertaken within road and car park areas along The Esplanade.

Pot-holing will be undertaken on Wednesday 18 March and Thursday 19 March between 8am-5pm in various locations along The Esplanade – including near Reserve Street, Manning Street, the Clock Tower, Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club and Brighton Beach. View location maps.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to provide assistance. There should be no obstruction to pedestrians or cyclists.

These investigations are part of the early stages of work to prepare the Scarborough foreshore area for major revitalisation works, which are expected to start later in the year.
