A Sausage Went for a Walk One Day celebrates the artistry and diversity of Western Australian picture books published by Fremantle Press.

Since the publication of A Sausage Went for a Walk by Ellisha Majid and Peter Kendall, Fremantle Press has established a small but significant children's program which has achieved national acclaim. Discover how ideas for picture books emerge, and explore how they are brought to life through storyboards, working notes and then the published book.

This digital exhibition has items from the installation on the ground floor of the State Library of Western Australia. The digital exhibition is presented by Fremantle Press, the State Library of Western Australia and AWESOME Arts.
