The State Library of Western Australia is turning 125!

For one night only experience the illuminations and see images celebrating the story of Western Australia brought to life through projection and music.

Award winning Perth digital artist Roly Skender will transform the State Library building into a kaleidoscope of colour on the evening of 6 December, in a public celebration of the State Library’s anniversary.
The visuals will be a accompanied with an original sound track by an ensemble led by WA musician, Cathie Travers. Described as diverse, passionate, ground breaking eclectic, Cathie Travers’ work has been featured in major arts and music festivals across Australia, in concerts around the world, dance-theatre productions, and films/documentaries.

The evening starts at 5.00pm with a number of events including back of house tours of the Library, little libraries scattered throughout the Perth Cultural Centre, storytime for children under 12, free music, giant games and more.

The first 30 minute spectacular highlight show starts at 8.00pm with a final projection at 10.15pm.
