Revelation Perth International Film Festival brings two hugely enjoyable family films to Perth this winter.

Celebrate all things Jim Henson with daily screenings of The Muppets at the State Library of Western Australia.

Jim Henson’s Tales From Muppetland

A cavalcade of some of Henson’s best loved characters barrel and blunder their way through every classic fairytale you care to name…and it’s a riot from start to finish.

Including some of Kermit the Frog’s finest moments including some of his Sesame Street News reports this hilarious program features excerpts from The Muppet Show and special condensed versions of Tales of the Tinkerdee, Hey Cinderella and The Frog Prince.

Screening daily at 10am.

Muppets Musical Moments

The Muppet Show was of course famous for its various guest appearances from Liberace, to Elton John.

From Julie Andrews to Harry Belafonte there was no shortage of talent wanting to appear.

And appear they did…who can forget Linda Ronstadt singing Blue Bayou in her hillbilly bloomers surrounded by a Muppet jug band.

It’s all still so funny to watch and impossible to stop smiling – whatever you think of the artists.

Screening daily at 2pm.

Please note the screenings are free but reservations are required.

The Perth Cultural Centre has it all and a whole lot more. Download the school holiday program for a full list of activities.
