What is it about the performance of improvisation - this once-off, never to be repeated event – that makes it such a thrill? It can be hilarious, it can be provocative, it can be sublimely beautiful… and for eight days in November you can see for yourself what Improvised Performance can be, as STRUT Dance presents the inaugural MoveMe Improvisation Festival: where anything can happen!

MoveMe Improvisation Festival is Perth’s first ever Performance Improvisation Festival, presenting some of the world’s best contemporary improvisation artists across dance, music & performance. Staged across five venues around the Perth Cultural Centre it’s a bold program exploring risk, provocation and virtuosity in live improvised performance. Featuring a mix of local heroes and international greats (including world renowned ‘performance improvisation guru’ Michael Schumacher (USA), this unique addition to Perth’s cultural calendar will delight local audiences in its celebration of the unexpected. Discover these new works, and delight in the unexpected!

The MoveMe Improvisation Festival is happening over 5 venues include PICA, State Theatre Centre of WA, The Blue Room Theatre, Venn and the King St Arts Centre. To find out more visit the MoveMe Improvisation Festival website.
