One Day from Glory: Cricket’s World Cup explores the 40 year history of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Cricket World Cup.

The World Cup has grown from a hopeful experiment into a major global sporting event that is now the pinnacle of one-day international cricket. See how the events in and around the game have shaped our understanding of the sport and provided the drama and controversy that has captured the imagination of billions of people around the world.

This exhibition is a tribute to the Cricket World Cup, its history, its origins, highs and lows. It follows the growth of this popular nation versus nation contest, and its rise to become a significant fixture on the cricket calendar. It traces the impact of the Cricket World Cup on the limited-overs game in Asia and how it has transformed cricket more broadly through India’s emergence as a dominant force in international cricket.
