Traversing strange and familiar landscapes, award-winning Perth artist Michael Doherty’s oil paintings are charming explorations of light and form.

Doherty renders the world with a dreamlike quality and appropriates strange eclectic motifs, which dance along the border of surrealism, while also rooted in the tradition of Australian landscape painting. Exhibiting this month on the big screen.
